| Computed Tomography (CT) Scans |
- Evaluation of the cross-sectional anatomy of both maxilla or mandible prior to implant placements.
- Determining sites for specific dimensions of implants to be placed using further computer guided techniques, i.e. Simplant, Nobel Guide, Facilitate
- Defining positions of impacted teeth, notably canines in children.
- To accurately view areas of pathology within the jaws.
 The cost of a single jaw CT scan is £175, (£250 for both jaws) inclusive of i-CAT Vision software. This will run on any XP computer. The fee for a low dose scan for patients under the age of eighteen is £150. Further fees are payable for use of specific implant software listed above. There are no waiting times or specific times that scans are carried out during the day. Usually the patient is only in the practice for thirty minutes. |
